Turmeric has become the new kale this past year! It’s amazing anti-inflammatory benefits makes this a power house ingredient an everyday spice. I usually add turmeric root to every juice I make. Ground turmeric to tofu veggie scrambles, soups, & roasted cauliflower. To name a few.
WARNING: Your hands will get stained when using the actual root. It turned my french gel manicure highlighter yellow… talk about awkwarddddd.
For this juice I wanted to get specific with color so I juiced up oranges, carrots, turmeric root, & romaine lettuce. It was perfectly balanced with veggies & fruit.
1 orange, peeled
2 carrots, scrubbed
1 head romaine lettuce
3 thumb length turmeric root
Wash & Prepare all ingredients
Run through juicer
CHEF’S TIPS & TRICKS
- Drink ASAP or store in airtight container for up to 24 hours
- It is hard to judge the amount of turmeric root to use. Using your thumb is a general guideline. Always start small and adjust…you can always add not take away.
