Spiced Oat Milk
The perfect vegan drink for the holidays!
Spiced Oat Milk

Ingredients:
2 cups oat milk
6 dates, pitted
2 thumb nail size piece of ginger, peeled, sliced
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
2 whole cloves
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cardamom
ground cinnamon, garnish
Procedure:
Add all ingredients to a medium size pot. Set over low-medium heat. Bring to a slow boil then lower heat. Using a wooden spoon mix to ensure it doesn't stick the bottom and start browning.
Simmer until aromatic and flavorful for about 10-15 minutes.
Remove the star anise and cinnamon sticks. Let cool slightly.
Add to a blender and blend until smooth about 3 minutes.
Using a fine strainer, strain the milk mix. Pour into two cups and dust with ground cinnamon.
You can enjoy as is, or if you have a foaming stick or cappuccino machine you can foam milk.
