Charred Spicy Shrimp

Charred Spicy Shrimp 🌶🍤🔥

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon aleppo 

  • 1 ½  teaspoon cumin

  • 2 teaspoon coconut sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon pepper

  • 1 ½ pounds wild caught shrimp uncooked, deveined, peeled, tails on 

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

  • 2 limes, wedges, for finishing

  • ¼ bunch cilantro fresh, chopped, optional

Procedure:

  1. Combine the chili powder, paprika, cumin, oregano, garlic powder, coconut sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Dump the mixture over the shrimp and mix well. 

  2. Heat up a cast iron pan or grill over high. Once the pan is hot add the oil (it should get shimmery right away). Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 4 minutes (should be charred in some spots) then flip and cook for another 3 minutes. 

  3. Finish with lime squeeze. To serve, garnish with chopped cilantro and lime wedges.
